Public Health Emergency - Swiss Croon worked with a group of organizations (lead by DTE Energy) and BLVD Content to develop a multi-channel marketing campaign aimed at educating the entire population on dangers and safety methods during the initial stages of the 2020 pandemic. The main objective was to mitigate the spread of virus. The campaign developed for this monumental task was successful in cutting through the clutter and reaching our audience by incorporating a differentiating, approachable voice, with a base tone that was easy to engage with and most importantly, for that moment in time, non-authoritative.
The mechanism created to deliver the messaging was a fictional character based off of the real life virus. The characters name was created using the slang term that was being used within cultures at that time for the virus, Rona. Swiss Croon lead the charge on the development and design of the Rona character including traits, attributes, physical rendering, animation, voice and the eventual evolution into other Rona-like characters. Research analysis, creative development, presentations, art direction, copywriting and design of marketing communications across all modern mediums including web, social, outdoor, digital broadcast, radio and more, were all executed over a span of 2 years.
Swiss Croon was responsible for working collaboratively with numerous production vendors in both the pre and post production phases. Swiss Croon facilitated the production of campaign executions through production management and quality control. The result was a great success that achieved viral reach and helped breakthrough to our audience and slow the spread of the virus.
